These headphones are slightly lighter and more compact than their bigger brother, the EX-29 headphones, making the EX-25 headphones an excellent choice for frequent travelers or people just trying to block out sound to concentrate on studying or working. The main difference between these headphones and the EX-29 headphones is the studio quality speakers in the EX-29 headphones. While not quite as crystal clear as the professional level speakers in the EX-29 headphones, these headphones sound very good, have a great bass range, and block out virtually the same amount of noise as the more expensive model.
Customize Cord Length
Only available from QuietHeadphones.com, you can select a
9ft cord or a
40 inch cordfor your headphones. If you use your headphones at your computer or with an iPod/MP3 player you might find the 9ft cord to be a bit long and cumbersome. The 40 inch cord (slightly longer than 3 feet) is less likely to snag or get tangled when moving around.
We are the only Direct Sound Dealer who can offer the 40 inch cord option.

The EX-25 headphones are slightly smaller than the
EX-29 Extreme Isolation Headphones and do not block quite as much noise. But if you are on a budget, these headphones surpass any other headphone in it’s class that we have ever reviewed in both sound quality and noise reduction. Also, if you need to save a little space in your carry-on luggage, these EX-25 headphones are a bit smaller than their big brother, the EX-29 headphones. The EX-25 headphones are
2 ounces lighter and the ear cups are more thin.
Our Recommendation
Being smaller, these headphones are great for travel and since they do not use batteries you don’t have to ever worry about losing your noise reduction in the middle of a flight. These headphones are excellent at blocking airplane engine noise and other rumblings sounds as well as spikey noises such as talking and ringing phones. If you are an audiophile like we are, and can afford the extra cost, the improved isolation and studio quality speakers you get with the EX-29 Extreme Isolation Headphones is worth the upgrade.

I bought these headphones to use while studying. The customer service guy at QuietHeadphones suggested getting the less expensive model since I didn’t really need the studio quality speakers in the more expensive headphones. I really appreciate that kind of honesty, not trying to up-sell me just to make more money. They were right. These headphones do a great job blocking out noise and I LOVE the white noise MP3. The only reason I give these headphones a 4 star rating instead of 5 stars is that I wish the headphones were a little sexier looking. But that’s a very small complaint since theses headphones really do block out sound and they are a great value.
Do these head phones have a detachable cable?
Which headphones cancel noise more effectively and is the cord detachable on the EX 25 headphones?
I upgraded to these headphones from a set of Sony noise cancelation headphones and these Compact Extreme Isolation Headphones are MUCH better. I love not having to worry with batteries and the block MUCH more noise. I agree with the other customer about the white noise mp3. It really is great. I can see people’s lips moving but all I hear is the peaceful waterfall. I’m certainly recommending this to my friends. Thanks!
I’ve been using these headphones all summer for cutting the grass. I held off writing this review until I had a full season to try them out. They have held up great. I got the shorter (40 inch) cord and I listen to my iPod while cutting grass. These headphones have held up great. They have been exposed to grass, dirt, and dust and they just wipe clean. It even rained on me once and the headphones survived that as well. These are tough headphones and they really do block out sound. Great buy!
Oh the lovely enviroment of living under a family. My neighbors above have 2 children that are sweet as can be but heavy foot steps. They run and run and play all day long. I know how it is to take care of children, and I always found physical activities to tire them down…so when bed time came along…less crying and more ZZZ’s. So I didn’t want to put stress on the folks above and asking their kids to calm down. So I took the initiative to silence everything my self. Ran into this website from forums, and was amazed once I purchased and received them. Basically…fast shipping, superb results especially with the White Noise Track, and comfortable. This rating is based on my initial impression. I got these as a gift for my girlfriend since she lives in a dorm. I tried them out and the sound is greatly reduced but not totally silent. If you’re looking for absolute silence, you wont get it but you also aren’t down $200 for headphones. The white noise mp3 seems to work well for the short period I tested it out for. Has birds chirping in the background too. It kind of kills the awkward feeling listening to white noise can have but seems like it could be counterproductive. Music sounds great with these on and seems to have been what this product was mainly designed for.
I bought these headphones a few months ago for drumming to music, and so far they have been working great. They dont cancel out as much noise as some other headphones, but the sound quality is great and they’re well suited for pretty much any application like work, studies, home, ect. also love the 8 foot cord. dont have to unplug it from my computer to get something nearby me.
I use these for on-location audio recording. Great headphones, they don’t flavor the audio the way most consumer headphones do so I get to block out unwanted sound and I get to hear the audio coming from my audio recorder the way it was meant to be heard. I also use the EX-29s and the 25s are comparable.
I wanted headphones to block out the noise from fire crackers bursted here in India during festival of lights- diwali. I have noise anxiety syndrome and I have been looking for some headphones which can block out fire cracker sounds completely. Can you please tell me if these headphones can do that.

I bought these headphones and they broke within 10 minutes of wearing them the first time and i can’t find anywhere to find a replacement part. extremely dissatisfied, wouldn’t recommend.
Yep same for me, but … not the first 10 minutes… the first 2 minutes… i’ve looked closely and it’s clearly a defect the plastic is crap…
